Overview

Ultra-Light FRP Walkway for Weight-Sensitive Applications

Our FRP lightweight walkway is specifically engineered for applications where dead load reduction is critical. At just 2.8 psf (1.0 in thickness), these panels are 80% lighter than steel grating and 40% lighter than aluminum, making them the ideal choice for rooftop walkways, elevated platforms, and structures with limited load-bearing capacity.

Despite their light weight, these walkway panels deliver impressive mechanical performance with concentrated load ratings up to 300 psf. The molded-in diamond-grit surface provides reliable traction in all weather conditions, while the corrosion-proof fiberglass construction ensures decades of maintenance-free service.

Available in panel sizes up to 4 ft × 10 ft with thicknesses of 1.0 in, 1.25 in, and 1.5 in. Choose from standard safety yellow or gray, with UV-stabilized and fire-retardant options for rooftop and outdoor installations.

Features & Benefits

Lightweight FRP grating panel features for rooftop walkway

FRP Lightweight Walkway — Key Features

Advanced engineering for superior performance

Ultra-Light — Only 2.8 psf

At just 2.8 pounds per square foot, our lightweight walkway is the lightest structural grating solution available. Perfect for rooftop applications where structural loading limits prohibit heavier steel or aluminum systems.

Rooftop-Friendly Design

Designed specifically for rooftop HVAC access, solar panel walkways, and green roof maintenance routes. The lightweight panels protect roof membranes by distributing point loads evenly.

Tool-Free Installation

So light that one person can carry and install a full 4 ft × 10 ft panel without any mechanical lifting equipment. Snap-together fastening systems allow rapid installation without welding or heavy tools.

Corrosion-Proof & Rust-Free

Will never rust, corrode, or degrade in wet or chemical environments. Ideal for rooftop exposure to rain, snow, HVAC condensation, and chemical exhaust without any protective coatings needed.

UV-Stabilized for Sun Exposure

UV-inhibited resin formulation prevents discoloration and fiber degradation from prolonged direct sunlight exposure. Maintains structural integrity and appearance for 20+ years outdoors.

ADA-Compliant Slip Resistance

Molded diamond-grit surface provides wet COF of 0.7+ meeting ADA accessibility guidelines. Safe for public access walkways, rooftop observation decks, and commercial building egress routes.
