Overview
Premium FRP Grating for Offshore Platform Applications
Our FRP offshore platform grating is manufactured using advanced compression molding technology with vinyl ester resin systems specifically selected for maximum resistance to seawater, hydrocarbons, H2S, and chlorides. The result is a structural grating panel that delivers 25+ years of corrosion-free service in the most demanding offshore environments.
Each panel features a molded diamond-grit walking surface with a wet slip resistance of 0.8+ COF, exceeding both OSHA and international offshore safety standards. The lightweight composite construction (75% lighter than steel) reduces structural loading and allows faster, safer installation with minimal equipment.
Available in multiple thicknesses (1.0 in, 1.5 in, 2.0 in) with fire-retardant formulations achieving ASTM E84 Class A rating. Fully compliant with NORSOK M-001, DNV-OS-C501, ISO 1461, and UK HSE offshore platform safety requirements.

Features & Benefits
FRP Offshore Platform Grating — Key Features
Advanced engineering for superior performance
Offshore-Grade Corrosion Resistance
Vinyl ester resin matrix engineered for continuous exposure to seawater, crude oil, drilling muds, H2S, and chemical cleaners. No rust, no pitting, no coating failures — guaranteed for 25+ years in marine service.
Heavy-Duty Load Capacity
Rated for concentrated loads up to 750 psf in 2.0 in thickness. Supports heavy equipment, crew traffic, and helideck perimeter loads with minimal deflection and no permanent deformation.
Fire Retardant — ASTM E84 Class A
Flame spread index ≤25 and smoke developed index ≤450. Meets the fire safety requirements of international offshore regulations including NORSOK S-001 and UK HSE Fire and Explosion Guidance.
Electrically Non-Conductive
Eliminates galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. Safe for use near electrical systems, switchgear, and sensitive electronic equipment. Non-sparking for hazardous classified areas.
Rapid Installation
75% lighter than steel means faster deployment with smaller crews. Modular panels with pinned fastening systems eliminate welding and hot work permits, reducing installation time by up to 50%.
Zero Maintenance Lifecycle
No painting, no galvanizing, no coating inspections. Color is molded throughout the panel. Simply wash down with freshwater. Total lifecycle cost savings of 40-60% versus coated steel grating.
